Harness Advice for my Green Cheek Obi

Hello I havenā€™t been on the forum for a while but I really would love to ask a question. Obi my Green Cheek Conure has not had his wings clipped I like him to be able to fly. When he was a baby I tried a harness on him the Aviator harness. He was very scared and turned upside down I had a terrible fright because it seemed as though the harness tightened on his neck and my daughter had to rush to get scissors and cut it off him. I vowed never ever again to try a harness.
However time has now passed, he is bigger and tamed and I would like to try again I really want to be able to broaden his horizon and take him outside with a harness on.
I would really appreciate advice as to what harness is the best to buy for a Green Cheek please and what size I should buy? Also when the harness is on I am guessing they can still fly but would they not get tangled or hurt themselves if I am holding on to the other end? Could they hurt their legs or wings?
Thank you all so very much for any advice.

Hi, I found this video by Elle very helpful and discusses all the steps to getting a GCC comfortable, how to wear, and what she recommends:

In order for the bird not to get tangled, they should get comfortable enough with the harness on so that they are not flailing around to cause this. Also, maybe the leash you had was really thin? The video above uses a harness that leaves some of the harness material around the birds feet which could also help with not getting tangled.
