OK, so in the evening yesterday...probably about an hour before dark..I had Haro (IRN) on my shoulder, & took him out in the shed with me to give my hubby a cuppa...At the moment we have 2 swallows that have made a mud nest in our shed, & have 2 cute lil babies in the nest...Any way Haro was perched on the back of my chair, just relaxing, then all of a sudden, the mother swallow flew out the shed, & Haro took flight after her...by the time I got out the door of the shed, he was gone...He flew that fast, that I didnt even see what direction he went in...I couldnt believe this had happened, we have only had him just over a week, i was peeping over the neighbours fences, but couldnt find him...I started calling his name as I do when I talk to him , making kissy noises & such, then I heard him reply back, I kept doing this & followed his sound, which led me to a massive high tree3 houses down...me & hubby (Doug) were calling him to come down..he looked quite scared up there...lol...anyway he seemed to respond to me, as I am his owner, chef, cleaner, I am Haro;s everything, & with me talking in my silly voices, how I do to Haro..he eventually hopped down onto lower branches & I grabbed him..It took about an hour to get him & had just turned dark....it was such a relief to have him in my arms...SSSOOOOO now I am going to invest in a harness & lead for outdoor use..I couldnt believe he could fly that well, he is so young..all those times I have had him outside on my shoulder, walking to & from school, swimming in the puddle..he could of just up & left....pphheewww, we are lucky to have him still..
Hsro is very cheeky...lol
