Banner came to us eating Zupreem natural. She enjoys carrots and so far has tried spinach, kale, and broccoli. She also gets broccoli sprouts and quinoa, although she doesn't really eat the quinoa. I usually give her a fresh food breakfast and dinner - she eats a bit on her playstand while we have breakfast and dinner.
When we brought her home, I was determined to swap her to Harrison's HP. I starting mixing it in slowly. It seemed that she was cracking them in half and leaving them - and picking out and eating all of the Zupreem. I slowly tried to cut down on the Zupreem and leave more Harrisons, but she's not having it. I come home and the Harrisons is scattered on the bottom of her cage. When I put her food in, I see her going right for the Zupreem. She's lost 32 grams (this is less than 10% of her body weight) since she came home and I think it's the food switch that is the culprit.
Do I keep trying to get her to eat it, or do some birds just not like it? She really doesn't seem to enjoy the taste.
