Kyro was with me while i was folding some clothes and i guess he didn't like the shirt i had and he flew off and completely messed up the landing lol! it was pretty funny but he flew straight back to me and wouldn't look me in the eye and when i started babying him he just stuck his face under my chin and hid there for like 10 mins! lol i finally convinced him i didn't care if his landing wasn't so graceful and he went right back to playing LMAO!! I freakin love this bird he really does have his very own personality!

That is so cute! you're right, they really do have their own personalities. We laugh every day at Fiji's shenanigans. I haven't seen him embarrassed YET, but he does this thing I call the Chicken Hawk. when he gets feisty and acts like he wants to "fight," he puffs up his feathers, stands up really tall and straight, staring straight ahead, and SLOWLY does this little strut towards you, ready to attack!

Hahahahahaah awwwwwww thats adorable LOL!

I just love reading these type of stories! Thats so cute. Charlie just did something like this last night. I was laying in bed playing with him as usual and then out of no where I started making these alien noises to him (dont ask me what made me do that, I am silly at times) then he stepped back looked me straight in the eye and just stared at me like "what the hell was that?). He was just gazing at me for like a minute till he was out of that faze. too funny! He wasnt used to me making that noise I guess. hahaha

How is Kyro doing now a days? Hows the weaning?

LOL! I think they can now I think about it. Made my day !

My GCC, Ziva does this too. But she doesn't seem like she is on the attack. I call it strutting. She stands up really strait and tall, and puffs up her feathers. She normally does this when I first let her out, it's so cute, I love it.

It's nice to know that my doofy bird is the only one who gets embarrassed.

Kayak used to be clipped and when I let her flight feathers come in she wasn't very good at flying. She'd attempt to fly about 10 feet to me (from her cage to my bed) and end up landing 5 feet away and walk/climb the rest of the way to me. She'd walk up to me with this look on her face like "Uh, yeah. I meant to do that!" Since she's gotten better she hasn't had to walk to me and hasn't had that look on her face.

Guapo often struts around like he's some kind of king, makes me think of a pacing raptor and he just stares at whatever is peeving him off, chest out head back, I just laugh at him.

Cute stories! I haven't seen Boomer get embarassed or strut yet. It's funny how our birds have their own little quirks.

One of Boomer's mannerisms is what I call the 'huff and puff.' He does it when he is feeling playful, mischievous or displeased with the way I'm scratching him lol. It's like he is exhaling through his nose in short, loud puffs usually accompanied by a high pitched grunt.

Another one is what I call the 'pity party.' When it's time for him to go to his happy hut for the night, he wedges himself very tightly against the crook of my neck. All the while singing along (as best as he can) to the Night Night song I made up for him. He makes it very clear that he wants to stay for a few more minutes that I can't help but give in lol!

It's ok I make weird noises to kyro all the time! He seems to find it funny cuz he throughs himself back head first like he's busting up laughing LOL!! And he's good he's been officially off formula for a good week or two now! I'm very proud of him! He is FULL of energy!!

That's awesome! Congrats on the weaning. They are quite a character. Charlie is so needy its cute but not funny at times. Gotta love them though. I think I need go start training him. He said his first word last week he says kiss then goes to kiss you. So cute!
