He doesn't play

My Pacific, Peanut, used to play with his toys when he was young. He doesn't anymore. I change them out regularly. He much prefers to sit on my shoulder while I work. The only thing he shreds is the collar of my "bird shirt". He's four years old. Is this normal?

No. He has lots of energy. He just focusses on me and not his toys. I guess I am his toy.

We’re all livelier when we’re young.

Now he’s a middle aged man or woman and wants to watch his shows from your shoulder.

My Quaker plays some in his cage but if he’s out with me he’s usually crunching his beak or otherwise grooming as he gazes at me.
