Hi!

My name is Ryan, my friends call me Ryno. I just purchased a beautiful Green Cheek Conure from our local petco. I wasn't even in the market for a bird, I was just out shopping with my fiancé and we walked out of an isle and I saw a greenish mass dart across the floor. When I went to check it out one of the employees bent over to allow this little parrot up on her finger. She said the bird had been there for almost a year and was so bored it had bitten off its tail feathers. She said it needed a good home and the bird melted my heart! I named the bird Keelin.

Keelin and I are working on bonding. We are slowly getting used to each other, far less biting than the first day. I'm excited for our relationship, I am open to any and all advice!

Welcome to the forums and congratulations on getting Keelin.....

A lot of us have or have had green cheeks, they are smart, fun birds.....he may or may not talk, it's pretty much up to the individual bird.....

Keelin is such a great name I would love to see pictures of him, when you have time.
