I'm new to the forum and just saying hi!! I am a proud owner of a golden conure who is 1 year old..And I just purchased a alexandrine which will be a new addition to my home next month..

Welcome. Those are 2 of the most beautiful species of parrots, IMHO, especially the Golden Conure. I've never seen one of those in person.

Thanks! When I got my Golden I wasn't even planning on getting it my family had our heart set on a goffin but when we saw the baby golden's they were so sweet and the manager at the bird store had a adult which was so nice..Also the owner has some breeders and this other pet store has breeders and all of them are hand tame and affectionate..Every golden I met are the same I have seen 10 before I bought mine it was way out of my budget but my family loves her at least we think she is a her..

Thanks guys I will..I'm actually going to visit my alex tomorrow because she is still at the pet store till I get my room for her fixed up and change comes in and I'll post pictures of both birds.

oh my goodness shes beautifull!!! i think its great that you have such a good pet store and bird! just a thought, you might want to get her DNA sexed so you know for sure and it can explain some behaviors, just if you want to. what a wonderful bird!
