I cross posted this from the conure forum. I didn't want to miss anyone:
Hi everyone I'm Jake! I'm from Ohio but I've been living down here in florida for the past couple of years. I became a parront nearly a year ago with Drakos
my Sun conure. He's pretty great. Before I got him I read a few books about parrots and conures, read what I could online, and must have spent a few days worth of hours scouring youtube to watch bird videos to learn everything that I could. I began trick training Drakos his first day and have been steadily ever since. He is also unclipped and flied to me when I call...most of the time. I intend to have him fully recall trained one day and be able to take him outside, but it would be reckless and stupid for me to do it at this point. This christmas I ended up with a couple of parakeets 
who I am trying to tame at the moment as well, and while it's going slow, it seems that they are both target trained and one is well on the way to learning to spin on command.
Anyway, just saying hi to everyone here. This is my first bird forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself and get to know all of you. Besides, I'll probably be needing your advice at some point as I will have issues with my babies and intend on adding to my flock. Wasn't this past spring loud? It was my first hormonal bird spring. Crazy!
Here's my short flock wish list:
An african grey of either species
Senegal
Cockatiels
Gala Cockatoo (If I ever think I could handle a cockatoo, unlikely, this is the species I would get)
Quaker Parakeet
Indian Ringneck Parakeet
I'm gonna need a bigger house...
