Hi everyone im new here but not new to the bird world i use to have cockatiels and had a few clutches and handraised many adorable babies then went on to lovebirds which obviously i loved to now i just got a mustached parakeet named alfred who i fell in love with at work i work at petco as the bird specialtist i had to wait to after the holidays but turns out i got him as a gift YAY so he is home with me now for four days and i couldnt be happier..... alittle about him he was hatched 5/3/10 so that makes him about eight months old i cant tell if he is male or female yet but i got the boy vibe and his beak is alittle orange around the edges which hints males but i could be wrong ... he does talk he says

yummy yummy yummy
and various whistles!!

he is a ham and im so excited for him to really open up at home and for him to learn a hole bunch!
well thats it for now i would love to here any tips about anything your bird loves or what you have come across thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!

thanks i did put pictures up im not sure if i did it right but alfred is adjusting to his new home i couldnt be happier with him he actually got the back off of my remote control i was amazed cause i have a hard time doing it hes amazing!!!!!!!
