Hello everyone I am anxiously anticipating the arrival of a baby Yellow Naped Amazon. I’ve got a cage picked out, a tree stand coming. Any advice for right when he comes home? Thanks! I love this site I’m so glad I found it.

Depending on how tame your baby is, put him in his new cage so he can get used to it.

How old is the baby going to be when you bring him home?

First thing I would say is to read the sticky at top of Amazon thread with special emphasis on body language.

Let your bird set the pace.
If he is ready for interaction, super but don’t push it.
