Hello from Max and Rio

Hi my name is Max, I am 8 years old. My Birds name is Rio, a 5 month old Sun Conure. I got Rio yesterday after school. I have wanted a bird scince my birthday back in September. My dad got Rio from a family that could no longer keep him. Rio i a little shy and very loud. but i feed him some cheerios and now he will sit on me some. My dad set me up on here so i could ask questions and get advice from people that know. I look forward to making friends on here. Max Dietrich.

Hi Max! My name is Olivia and we have three birds; the one I talk about the most here is Geordi, a Meyer's Parrot who's about 5 years old. He's a little grouchy and only gets cuddly with my husband, Rick. Meyer's parrots are around the same size as conures but from different parts of the world; conures, as you may already know are naturally from Central and South America, while the Meyer's is from sub-Saharan Africa.

We have a son who's 12 who loves animals very much, and seems to be really enjoying having Geordi too. There's a photo of G. with his "brother" (i.e. the 12 year old) in my profile.
