hello from northern maine!

hey folks! just wanted to say hi and look forward to talking birds on here. I'm a new owner of 2 beautifull 7 yr. old cockatiels i got from a bird rescue. one is particually challenging. i had a parakeet as a kid but that was a long time ago. i may lean on some of you for your opinions and experience for my birds care. looking forward to talking to you all! have a good one.

Welcome to you....cockatiels are such fun little birds.

Northern Maine huh??? Love the Ski country there. If not there it's in Utah
where it's fun to Ski as well.

thanks for the welcomes! someday id like to get a cockatoo or african grey. i love birds! i had a pet crow 5 yrs ago . harry was as smart as a dog. raised him from a baby. he finally flew away at a year old but has returned twice and would still perch on my hand. he hasn't come back in a few years. i hope he's still ok. that bird got into everything! loved to trash the house! finally had to make him a outside cage for him to sleep in. I'm hoping to get my tiels as tame as he was. though they aren't as smart as a crow they're starting to show promise. yes we have awesome skiing and snowmobiling but you better be able to tolerate -30f for about a month in the winter! its beautiful but brutal in the winter up here! can't wait to see all your birds guys!
