Hello! My name is Hunaid Hanfee I am from India. I have special place for animals and birds in my heart.
I bought two budgies recently. I am very beginner in budgie section. I have 12 fishes, 1 turtle and now 2 budgies. I want to tame them and I had already read the taming thread. They started to eat from my hand.

And I need help to identify which one is female.
:greenyellow:Thank you:yellow2:

Welcome - your budgies are adorable! Lots of good info here to read and great people to help with questions. Do your budgies have names yet?

Welcome to you, Hunaid, and your two beautiful budgies!

I don't know enough about the species to determine sex, but there are many members who should be of great help!

I have created a new thread for gender help. Thank You

Welcome Hunaid! Your budgies are beautiful and not very old. I'm not an expert, but I suspect they might both be boys, since the cere (area above the bill containing their nostrils) is blue-tinged rather than a uniform brown colour. If the area of blue colour grows bigger, then I think it's safe to say your birds are male.

While they're young, spend as much time as you can with them. Feed them from your hand. Sprays of millet are good for this because they're long and you don't have to get too close. Later, you can use shorter sprays. You can also search out seed sprays from grasses in your garden or along the roadside (be sure you pick clean grass without anything poisonous in it).

You can read the training sections of the forum for lots of ideas on caring for your lovely birds. Budgies are very clever and can learn lots of tricks if you take the time to teach them. Being smaller, there are many things they can do which large birds cannot. :)

Good luck and do feel free to share more photos of Neon and Tina.

Welcome, I think they are both young boys, they ate young because of stripes still on forehead, if the nose color becomes white or tan then they are girls, some color morphs make it harder to tell, blue is usually boy.
