Hi Everyone,

I'm a newbie to the site so I just wanted to say a quick hello and introduce myself. My name is Mel and I've only recently become a proud owner of my very first Eclectus Parrot. I've done a lot of research but I found this site to be the most useful so I decided to join the community.


I look forward to hearing advice on Do's and Don'ts as I'm still learning : ) and
post some professional shots of Ruby because as you can see she's a real character and seems to really like the attention!...

How is your bird and do you know whether it is a male or female?

Ruby is great and I'm absolutely in love with her to the point I'd take her to work if I could (would be fun explaining that to the directors). Slowly going through weaning at the moment so it's an exciting time with all sorts of new fruits and vegetables to try.

Looking forward to meeting some other Ecky owners to get some tips.
