Hello,

I am new to the forum and a proud new owner of a pyrrhura conure or crimson bellied conure. I have had him for about five days now and handled the move into our new apartment wonderfully. His name is Bert while my other bird (parrotlet) is named Gonzo. Bert is in a luxury kings cage and wants to come and socialize once I wake up or walk in the room. I have read a few things online before choosing the crimson bellied about conures and parrotlets. Does anyone have any personal insight or experience on the two species of birds getting along or how to work with both overtime? Both are young and around four months old so I have all the time to be patient with their friendship. Just wanted to introduce myself to forum. Thanks for the warm welcome already!

Welcome from a fellow crimson bellied conure owner! You should post pictures of your birds when you get a chance. :)

Here's some photographs of the little guy. The sizing may be a bit small but atleast you all can see Bert!

Welcome to the forum, feel free to ask away!

Bert is a male and was sexed by the local breeder I got him from. I am located in Pa now after moving back over this past weekend but I got him while in New Jersey close to where I grew up.
