Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Larry, I am from small town Saskatchewan. I am 53 yrs old and have raised birds in the past, but never a conure, mostly finches, budgies, and Cockatiels. Our new 10 week old baby boy will arrive on Friday. ( G.C.C. ) we are excited to have this addition to our family, we are empty nesters. It is our plan to add a young female ( yellow sided ) within 3 or 4 months, and see if the sparks fly. Hopefully nature will take its course and we will be on our way.
I have done a lot of reading on this website, and people are very knowledgeable and helpful, and hopefully we can make some friends along the way.

Welcome aboard Larry & congrats on your forthcoming feathered friend.....conures are not much different from your previous birds, just noisier, nippier, more temperamental, but they can be a lot of fun.....with possibly setting up a pair, guess you're looking at having a whole bunch of conures running around in the future.....

We are still waiting for dna test results, we are wanting a male first, then the yellow sided female will come in about 4 months ( she is an egg right now )
