Hello to everybody - A New Member

Hello everyone!

My name is Tim, and I am the proud property of an 8 yr old Blue and Gold Macaw (Maya), and a 7 yr old Peach Face Lovebird, (Nibblett)

I hope to learn from this community and give everything i can!

My first introduction to the parrot world would be when i was 17. My first job, at Todd Marcus Birds Exotic. I spent 2 years there soaking up everything that would fit in my head, and Finding Maya and Niblette in the process.
I've had Maya since before her first feather.
She's very well behaved but hates her beak getting groomed, luckily it grows very nicely.

Ill be over in the Conure Forums as i will be getting a Sun Conure just as soon as the clutch is ready to go
(I'm experienced hand feeder so ill be getting him/her young)

(Yes i know her beak looks terrible but she freaks out severely when it is groomed, to the point of the vet getting worried she'd have a heart attack)

Beautiful mac! If it's that bad and the vet thinks it needs to be trimmed I'm surprised your vet doesn't just give him a little anesthesia. That's what mine does for blood draw if they need it.

Oh its not bad at all just looks chippy and stuff, actually in very good shape

In that case I wouldn't sweat it. I think they all go through that, like nails.
