Hello I am the proud owner (parent) of 2 Blue and Gold Macaws. 1 is a 27yr old male (Rascal) and the other is a 4yr old female (Gypsy). I have had Rascal for approx 25yrs now and he is just a big baby and is the most amazing friend and buddy I think I have ever had. My female Gypsy is the newest member to my family and she came to me as a rescue. She is still getting used to us as her new perminant family. I also have a 6yr old Blue Fronted Amazon male (Neuper), and a 5 yr old African Grey female(charlot), along with a 17yr old myers parrot (alfy) and a 10yr old female cockatiel, (april). You might say that I have alot of parrots and I do. But each one is part of my family and are like family to me. Each one brings joy and happiness to me and my kid in one way or another. I have just found this site and decided to join in hopes to share my experiences and trials that I have encountered as well as get new information on things other Avian families may have encountered, or are presently going through.
