We are a animal mad family, and up until 1st March were the proud owners of an African grey called Skye. He sadly passed away, he was only 8, he contracted Aspergillosis and we couldnt save him even with meds.
We also have 4 dogs, a cat, 4 rabbits, a hamster and 2 gerbils.

We are going to be looking at getting another parrot but was going to try parrot charities if anyone knows of any before purchasing one, either an Amazon or Hahns. The house is SOOOOO quiet without Skye its just awful.

I'm very sorry to hear about Skye. If you put your location in your profile that would help with people being able to recommend parrot rescues for you to adopt from.

Welcome to the forum. I wish it wasn't due to such sad circumstances. I guess that's how I found the forum though. One of my conures passed away, and I adopted an amazon and came looking for more info if I needed it.
