Hello everybody!! I decided to finally join this group and am looking forward to getting good advice and also hear others stories about their birds. I have been "birdsitting" for a friend for the past couple of years (an unbrella cockatoo), but the owner is now back and of course wants his 'baby' back. I knew I would miss having a bird around so have been looking for a parrot of my own. I researched and decided on an African Grey. I then searched for weeks for a grey to adopt and am happy to say.....I found one!!!! I am SOOOO excited!!!! His name is Simba, male, 2 years old with only one owner. I am looking forward to giving him a new, happy home.
