Hello everyone! I just joined Parrot Forums today! My name is Brianna and I have a Double Yellow Headed Amazon named Jade. She is amazing and I feel blessed to have taken her away from the horrible living environment she was once located. I have known her for about 5 years before I took her home with me as living situations worsened at her previous home. She's been with me for about a year now. When I first took her she was somewhat depressed because her best friend (An African Red Belly) passed away. She has become more social over the months, and when I say social what I should really be saying is, she wont shut up now. That's just fine with me, but what's becoming a problem is the loud squawking/screaming. I'm trying my hardest not to reward bad behavior and wait till she has calmed down for me to give her a treat, but every so often she just simply won't stop the squawking. My fiancé is having the hardest time dealing with it and the last thing I want is to have to rehome her. The absolute last. Pleeasssse help by commenting with any advice, I will take just about anything I can get right now.
