Hi everyone I'm new on this forum. I'm getting as much info as I can before I replace my macaw. I had a blue and gold many years ago but we had to part company. Five months ago I bought a baby African grey. I was talked out of a macaw but still long for one. Don't get me wrong Rambo is fantastic.

I'm fancying a green wing or blue and gold.

Welcome... we love to see some pics of Rambo

This is Rambo and Elvis the first day home. Elvis is my girlfriends bird. Both out of the same nest.

Gorgeous Grays.... how do you split your time between 2 birds?

Here is a pic of my Female Eclectus Abby.

What made you choose one of those. A very pretty bird I must add.

I wanted a female for one thing. During my research I found that the Eclectus is sexually dimorphic coloration. The Females are Red and Blue/Purple while the male is green with red sides.

I think the females are one the prettiest parrots species out there.

There chest/breast feathers are so fine it looks like hair.

Plus the Eclectus does not have the feather dander like other parrots.

They are ranked in the top 3 as talkers and have a calm personality.

This is just a few of the reasons I chose an Eclectus.

Hi and welcome to the forum, Rambo and Elvis are definatly a couple of handsome boys, I wish you the best of luck in your quest of getting reaquainted with that special macaw, enjoy your stay :)

Cowtown, thats interesting. The Eclectus is not a bird ive ever looked at.
