New to the forum. I'm not a total newbie to birds as my mother had a aviary and bred many species of bird parrots when I was a child.
Recently bought 2 budgies, and I'm considering getting a midsize parrot sometime withing the next 6-months to a year.
Though I was raised around birds and know a lot about the basics, I've been out of the loop for many years now, so I will be posting many questions and looking for help here.
Also I was curious where to go to set my profile pic/avatar.

Hello, and welcome to the Parrot Forums family! We're happy to answer any questions you have to the best of our ability, and we look forward to hearing more about your birds and seeing any pics you may have.

As for setting your avatar, just click on User CP (up near the top in the blue toolbar) and then look to the left for the Edit Avatar option. Uploading pics to Photobucket or other such websites beforehand would be the easiest way to go about it, as you'd need only copy the URL link for your pic and paste it in the window where prompted. Feel free to ask more questions if you still have trouble with your avatar.

Yup, your profile pic is up on your homepage. What's missing now is your avatar (the pic everyone sees when you are posting). You can set that in User CP as well.

Look two sections after "your profile". Under settings and options you should see edit avatar.
