Cinnamon Mint Conure
Hi everyone,
I got my Basil (Cinnamon mint ) about a month ago, she is around 4-5 month old ( Breeder was not clear on that for some reason ) She is so good so far, loves to come to my hand and very funny girl! When I got her she just wanted to clime up to my shoulder and head, but I broke that really quick. She also starting to like veggies and good pellets :) bracing for her puberty stage but hopefully we can manage well.
I would love to attach pictures and clips but seem like I can't just attach to this thread.
Anyway, than you for letting me join!

Welcome and be welcomed. Puberty for conures come on later closer to a year, but it certainly can vary with the individual. Some parrots have a really emotional puberty period, and some you would hardly know it. Some like my amazon Salty sail thru puberty only to have a really long, and intense first actual mating season. If you have already established a good relationship with your conure, with the boundaries firmly set, with nurturing guidance, what ever puberty she might have will be that much easier to get thru.

Good that our getting started on a healthy diet.

Welcome to you and Basil, thanks for joining! Seems you are on the right track with diet and socialization. Shoulder privileges are earned, not granted - but a wonderful way to interact when safe.
