HEY GUYS!i got my new cockateil 3 weeks old i have been noticing that his crop never emptys fully before the next feeding and a litte bit of food is always left whatshould i do?PLEASE HELP IS NEEDED!!

There are others more knowledgeable than I on the topic of hand feeding baby birds, but it sounds like your 'tiel could have an impacted crop. My suggestion is that you should get him to an avian vet immediately. If the food hardens in his crop, you'll be looking at a potentially life-threatening situation.

Heck..is it just me,or what?? I,for one, wouldn't even ATTEMPT to feed babies that are so young, especially when I know nothing about it. Geez I was even nervous giving Amy a once a day bottle feeding and she was 4 months old at the time.

In a previous post this person mentioned he/she had two babies...now its down to one..did one pass away unfortunately? They ask for help/advice.
There are numerous people on this excellent forum who have done hand feeding..even a couple of people who do it for a living,or just the joy of doing so.

A lot of excellent advice is given.
95% of the time a visit to an AVIAN vet is suggested, with good cause.....that's the first thing I'd do if I were in that type of situation!

Maybe I'm being overly dramatic,or paranoid,or just in a b****y mood today! :p

Ok..carry on...I'm done ranting...for now :)

You are not being over dramatic. Just saying what many people would like to.

I'm confused though. This is posted in two different places.
Were there two cockatiels at one point?
Did you breed or purchase this baby (or babies) before it was weaned?
Have you hand fed before?
What are you feeding?
Is the dry to liquid measure properly as stated in the directions?
Is the temperature right?
Is the temperature of the brooder right?

Let's start with that, but there are many more aspects of handfeeding that are just as important. If you have never hand fed please find someone that has. They may finish the process for you or at least help you and show you what to do and what to look for.

Selling unweaned babies to customers with 0% experience is unethical. It is 100% death sentence to the bird. If you have no experience take the bird to the vet immediately. Hand feeding is one of the most difficult part of parrot breeding management.
