It is as the title says! I did a similar thing a while back with copic markers (which you can see here: https://www.parrotforums.com/threads/inktober-parrot-doodles.82275/ )

However, copics smell a little (they are an alcohol based marker) and I’d like to improve my skill with gouache and watercolors, plus knock off some dust as I haven’t done any serious art since my professional mentorship finished in January.

So basically, if you could throw some of your favorite photos of your birds I’ll pick a few to paint! Meanwhile I’ll probably attempt a Kirby as a proof of concept. Thanks in advance!

These photos are all great! I realized I only had pad of large-size watercolor sheets, so I popped out to the shop and grabbed a sketchbook size watercolor pad as well as some new brushes (I…am notoriously bad with them, and my last set have all been ruined with oil paint heh).

I’ve got nothing but time tomorrow as I’ll be waiting for Kirby to be discharged from his drop off so I’ll try to put some paint to paper then!

Heh, I forgot I did some parrot artwork as a commission while away from the forums! I did some designs for an online convention featuring a cockatoo gryphon.

The convention is happening this weekend, so I was reminded about this artwork I’ve had laying around for a while.

Haven’t had time to paint anything in a while, but I never posted what I ended up doing with my Inktober Doodles from my previous thread.

I’ve got Amy and Julio hanging out over my dining room table!

Those two, although separated by a couple thousand miles, had been very mischievous! We swear that they planned all kinds of activities using the World Wide Web, while their staff were sleeping. The Great Potato Chip Truck Heist of 2020 was believed to be their doing, but evidence could not be traced back to either of them.
