Look on the bright side Mariah, your birds, like mine, may enjoy some fresh meat, especially Ollie.....those larvae are all protein.....
All kidding aside, some birds do enjoy helping make short work of those pests and they are good for our feathered friends.....
There are a couple of earlier threads, on the forums, concerning your problem...here's one:
http://www.parrotforums.com/general-health-care/34786-pantry-moths-around-my-birds.html
Part of the recurring problem is you.....you're not looking in all the right places & you may be letting them crawl back in. These types of moths are grain feeders & will feed on anything grain based, dry cereals, flours, meals, breads, etc. Carefully check any packages of dry cereals, flours, meals, breads, etc., pantries, cupboards, closets...even dry dog food, cat food, rabbit pellets, hamster food or even monkey food.....they can and will chew through cardboard boxes and the thin plastic envelopes inside, however, sealed hard plastic containers, like Tupperware usually keeps them out, as does freezing and only taking out what you will use during a week's time.....
When in their larval stage, they do, as you've already discovered, climb walls to spin their cocoons...at ceiling joints.....be sure to look carefully in closets too. While they won't bother your clothes, unless you have a grass skirt or two, I have found them under folded cuffs and collars of clothes as well as in the ceiling corners of closets.....
When you vacuum them up, if you don't immediately throw away your bag or empty your canister OUTDOORS, they'll find their way back for feeding & nesting.....for bagless canister vacuums, I was inclined to spray the inside of the canister with a moth spray, just to be sure any missed eggs were taken care of.....
Too bad you didn't ask your question last Friday, you could have done all this "spring cleaning" over the weekend and been already done with it.....
Good luck.....
Oh, did I mention that you need to plan on doing this again, probably the next 3 or 4 weekends.....you have to break the hatching cycle & like the old Lay's commercial, one is not enough.....
Now you can go have good luck ! ! !
