Lilo - Female Green Cheek Conure ~ Pal - male cockatiel ~ Pheobe - female cockatiel
So I was upstairs making my bed and Lilo was on the table eating a little bit of cream of wheat. But when I came down she was standing by a plate of sugar and I looked at the sugar and there was some missing! I don't know how much she ate but will she be ok?! Please help I don't know what to do! Right now she is sitting on my knee and grinding her beak in contentment and looks happy and full. So if its poison or something someone please tell me!

As far as I know, sugar won't hurt your bird. It's chocolate that can be deadly. Sugar isn't good for them and it's not good for humans for that matter. But I would think she should be fine. It was an accident and it's not like you feed it to her all the time.

Ok thanks! Whew ya I never feed her sugar only once in a long while.

Sugar isn't deadly just unhealthy (exact same for humans). Nothing to worry about if she got a little bit.

Lol there's never a dull moment with these birds!

Thanks! I worry wayyyy to much!

Kalidasa: Hahaha ya sometimes for the good and sometimes... well.... ya. :)

They drive us crazy doing everything they're not supposed to do lol

I did read that cream of wheat would clog up in their digestive tract. I don't believe everything I read, but I don't let M eat cream of wheat.
