Help my distinguish what this sound means

I would maybe try and give the tomato sauce a miss if you can! You could try, Walnuts, Hazelnuts, any type of fruit, Millet seems to be a favourite with Codie!

So i went out and bought Millet, which, as you said, he loved the only thing is, when i try and open the cage and keep him on his perch to give him it, he either starts climbing out or his pupils dilate and i'm not confident that he'll go for the treat instead of my finger.. any suggestions?

Little update:

Huge success with clicker training. My parrot can now go on his perch, give me a foot, then the other after which i reward him with a nice millet treat

Lol.. when we first stated Listening to Seminole our yn amazon, she made a noise a lot like your bird.. the wheezing sound... freaked me out.. turned out.. its just one of her "many many many" noises.. lol.

He makes it even more now and always goes on his perch to mooch a treat lol. He knows i can't resist when hes such a cutie. Too bad everytime I take him out he becomes such a brat and refuses to do anything but try and attack my wood speakers. Trying to stop him from doing it but hes so stubborn lol

I am so pleased that you are getting on well with the clicker training


Sounds like you are making quite a bit of progress with him.

So very happy to report less than a year later, that my parrot and i get along very well together! I take him out almost daily and keep him on my shoulders for hours. I've fallen asleep during the afternoon with him on my shoulder and he just stays perched atop me and guards me while I sleep haha.
