Help Needed

A very good afternoon everyone - new to those forum and have a issue with one of my love birds - I have attached a photo of his beak - I’m not sure if this is a serious issue? The bottom part seems to have shed / cracked? He is fine - still climbing the cage etc - he is around 20 weeks old... thanks in advance - Leepy

Hello Leepy, welcome to the Forums.

How long have you had your lovie, and has he had a wellness check with an avian vet yet? That would be the easiest way to pin down exactly what the problem might be.

I'm not sure what the issue might be but I'm sure another member will have some advice for you soon.

By the looks of the lower mandible I would say avian vet trip. The lower mandible looks like it has split and will most likely need to be trimmed to straighten out its growth. Otherwise your bird may end up with long term issues with its beak.
