Looks like a female ringneck parakeet. The females don't get the ring around their neck. It could also be a young male as it takes about a year and a half before the ring shows up.

Yes it looks like a female long tailed parakeet, which sub-species I have no idea....

Definitely an Indian Ringneck :)! At least I'm pretty sure haha. They're beautiful!

thanks alot its been driving me crazy what it is lol thank you

Yes I agree, it is definitely a female Indian ringneck or a very young male Indian Ringneck. :D

Typically ringnecks don't start to show sexual feather-color dimorphism until the second or third full molt, this means 24-36 months of age. Generally the first apearance of a fully black or red/pink feather on the neck is a pretty firm indcation that you've got a male. But until the third full molt you can't be really sure, you may have a female or just a late-blooming male. If you must know your bird's sex sooner than that a DNA test is still the quickest, most reliable way.

Isnt it amazing how some of our birds can change what they wear once they mature... :) when I used to breed cockatiels I have to second guess what the actual color of the male is until the babies pop out then I know for sure....because pearl and cinnamon turn grey once they mature.... then you get into mutations like whiteface, etc....I find out eventually from the babies anyhow...
