I noticed a slight red mark on my macaws foot. Is this bumblefoot? I have changed the perch (sanded) that she sleeps on to a calcium perch yesterday hoping this helps. That's the only mark and just 1 foot

it looks sore but I dont think it's at the point of bumblefoot yet. However I would get rid of any hard gritty perch used as a sleep perch. your best sleep perch would be a natural wood one. (not dowel)

That’s the beginning of a hot spot or mark from too much pressure. Bumblefoot is an infection of (very bad pressure sores usually) the foot.

Check her feet again in a few days, a week, two weeks and if the spot isn’t going away, perhaps something is causing a problem with her ability to perch.

I agree, hot spot developing. You might even want to wrap the sleeping perch with vet tape to make is a bit softer. You caught this early, good for you!

I wrapped perches too. I'm always checking her feet. Paranoid mum haha would hate anything be wrong and I didn't notice. Thanks so much for getting back to me.

Do I put any cream of anything on her foot? Or just pad perches.

I would not put cream on her foot. I think I would want her foot to stay hard until it heals a bit.
