Hey all, my name is Kylie, I'm 25 from the Hudson Valley NY. I do not currently own any birds, and I honestly never have, but I have absolutely fallen head over heels in love with a parrot at the pet store I just started working at (not sure what kind she is, some kind of amazon I think, I forgot to look, I work again tomorrow so I'll look), and now I'm seriously thinking about adding one to my life (maybe her if I can find the money)

So I decided to join a forum and learn as much as I can about having a pet parrot, and see if having one in my life would be something I could do!

Looking forward to meeting people on here and learning as much as I can!!

I've been offered to work at pet shops with starting rate at $16/hr but I get paid more being a restaurant manager. They wanted someone with experience with many types of animals and I fit into that category. But one thing I always thought about is that after cleaning tanks, cages, etc all day and dealing with a bunch of animals, I feel like im betraying my own. After doing it all day, would I want to clean my own cages and tanks afterwards? LoL...that's what comes to mind...lol
