Hi Everyone
My name is Tracy and I live in Wales in the UK, I have handreared CAGs some years ago I have no parrots at present due to a seperation. I have been offered a Green cheeked conure he is 5 months old and was a hand reared baby, but due to his breeder who was keeping him having a stroke he decided to put him out with some of his other birds in the aviary about 4 weeks ago, I have not had much dealing with conures and wondered what your thoughts were of him still becoming a nice friendly companion

You can try to go see how he does, its 50/50 chance type of deal. I've seen some that stayed friendly still but that all depends on each individual bird. You could always work with him again to gain hos trust!

My GCC Jasmine likes some people and hates others - no reason to it! But if the new bird looks at you curiously and doesn't fluff up/open beak aggressively you're off to a good start! Jasmine loves pine nuts and sunflower seeds as treats and readily took one when I first went to see her (I'm her second owner).
