Hi, I am Lori, mostly a finch person,my hubby Peter is the Parrot guy. We have two parrots, Murphy, a Myers parrot who talks a blue streak, and most recently NZinga, a new African gray somewhere in the 6-8 month old range that I just surprised my Husband Peter with.

Grays are new to us, and joined as I know how valuable forum advice can be.

Peter and Nzinga have been getting to know each other over the past couple days. She was very bonded to her previous caregiver, but he is making great progress with her. He has not been pushing her to be handled, but yesterday, she jumped from her cage top right into his lap. She likes to be scratched, and to share your dinner.
