Hi, my name is Sam and I have some experience breeding Conure, Aamzon, Chestnut Macaw in my home country. I have not gotten a parrot yet, I'm in the process of researching and deciding what is going to fit best in my backyard(considering noise). I'm a retired who enjoys play golf.

Any hints, suggestions or advice will be appreciated.
I'm excited and I have a lot to learn.The information on this forum is very much appreciated.

Thanks All:blue::D:D

Hello and welcome!! I look forward to hearing what species you choose! Whatcha out for MBS ( multiple bird syndrome) you start out with one then you have many ;)!

Welcome! Lots of great info here on a wide range of species, and of course feel free to ask questions about any species that you are not as familiar with.... :)

From my standpoint, I would steer clear of the Amazons and Macaws as you start into this as they are as a Species Group(s) classified as endangered by CITES and require extensive documentation that may or may not be required in your Country, but is in the vast majority of the World. This could limit you obtaining and selling locally and/or internationally.
Also, first check what is available and 'wanted' in your Country. Becoming a Breeder only to find that your choice is overly available or of very little interest in your market will cost you dearly.

Welcome. Good for you, for reaching out and researching.
