HI my name is Chris and my Yellow Nape is Bozz!!

Hi, I joined cuz I have a few questions about my parrot, She has been molting for about two months now, so I was wondering how long Yellow Amazon Napes molt for? I have had her for about 7 months and the sweet lady that I got her form has had her since she was six months old!!!

Welcome to the forum. Everyones bird seems to have had an especially hard molt this year. Some years they will molt for (seemingly) ever, other years they'll have a quick molt.

Are all the feathers fully formed (i.e. not chewed on or damaged)? No bald patches right?

Funny you should mention that, because Skitty has been moulting for over a month. I hadn't really thought about it til now. It has been rather long. I love it when the moult though. I 'collect' their wing & tail feathers. I save them for mementos. That way I'll always have a part of them with me.

Peaches isn't moulting yet. She is still going through her 'chronic egg laying' phase.
