Im Laurie I live in California I have a 3 1/2 year old meyers named Lulu that I got 6 months ago she is a Mamas girl and a Hahns Macaw named olelo he is 5 months old. Olelo is hawaiian for talk/ voice pronounced O lay low glad to meet all of you.

Hi, Laurie. I like the name Olelo. I like naming parrots after foreign words that mean words like "talk", or "echo". There is a line of thought that names give us certain characteristics. I caution people about naming pets things like "Rascal", or "Loki" (norse god of mischief), or names that describe unwanted behaviors, etc. They may become what they are called! LOL

Maybe I should have thought about that before naming our dog "dahmer" lol
