Hey I'm Amy, I have been searching for a new forum to become a member as the one I was joined to has gone down and showing no signs of appearing again lol

I have a 7 year old yellow sided conure 'monty' and a 6 year old cag 'obi' I recently lost my beloved cockatiel on weds :'( at a young age but want to give him a mention 'Jinty' rip.

Look forward to reading posts and making them ;)

Welcome to the group, there's usually something going on around here most any hour, whether you're a night owl or of normal sleep habits.....I guess the forum could even resurrect the old British slogan "The Sun Never Sleeps On The Parrot Forums".....

Welcome Amy! I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my cockatiel last year--he was 23 when he went to birdy heaven. I'm glad you found this forum...I just love it!

Thanks for all the welcomes :D where are you most from? USA, UK? :)

My Jinty was only 4 :'( I'm awaiting PM results but they think it was psittacosis so got a very close eye on the other two!

If you look at the opposite side of our username when we make a post it will say were we are located if we choose to show it. I'm Located in the San Francisco bay area.

It's best not to be too specific for safety of course ;)

Ah that's kook, I'm currently using a forum app on my phone which I'm still learning how to use lol, but when in home ill check out this site on the laptop ;)

I'm from Medway Kent, England btw ;)

Welcome to the forum amylou.:) Sorry to hear about Jinty. Hope it is not found to be psittacosis, and I hope your other two stay well.

This forum has a very diverse group of members who live all over the world & keep many different species of birds. Not all are parrots in some flocks. It makes for very interesting conversations.

I live in Texas & keep a varied flock. :red1: I look forward to hearing more about your feathered darlings.:D
