How can I get my pionus to take food from my hand?

Hi . I would like to start to train my pionus asap. She is 11 months old. I have had her for a week and I think she has taken to me already she will come out the cage and talk to me and calls me when i turn my back !!
When i try to offer her food from me she scuttles off . Is she still scared ? Or is she just scared of hands? She is not bothered when i put my face by her or the cage. I really want to train her to step up and gain trust with her, but if she wont take food from me Im not sure how I can make progress !
Any ideas would be great thanks

It is really about trust and just now she is a little unsure so please have a read on building that bond between you.
You could try leaving the treat near her so she sees hands deliver good things. Remember it isnt a race owning a parrot, relax and enjoy.
