How can i stop my irn biting??

Hi I own a indian ringneck and i am not sure if he is going through bluffing or not and whenever I touch his food/ water bowl / toys he will bite me reeaally hard and will not let go until i stop!!! Just to give you an idea on how hard he bites, he bit me this morning when i was changing his water, there was no blood but it is turning purple and swelling up. What can I do to stop this biting!!!!!!!

my IRN goes after me when i am messing with his stuff. i am usually quicker than he is though and don't get bit.
sometimes i use a wooden spoon or something in the other hand to keep him at bay.
i had this problem too with my senegal. she had some serious cage agression at times. i guess its their way of saying "Get Back" lol
once in a while when my IRN is on my arm or hand he will nail me for no reason at which point, he is instantly back on his cage, party's over.
i won't tolerate being bitten.
