How large is your Green Cheek Conure's Cage?

I'm in the process of adopting a Green Cheek from a bird rescue.
I already have a cage 25 x 20 x 20. It's a three stack cage , so I can double the height. They say it isn't big enough , and has to be 32 x 23.
She is a small Conure, so I didn't think there would be a problem.
I was hoping you folks could give me some feedback.

thanks,
tony

As a general rule, bigger is better. A 20 x 20 footprint seems a little small to me. And I'm not sure that increasing the height of the cage is as beneficial as increasing the footprint. Hoping this reply gets your question bumped and maybe some more experience bird-keepers will chime in.

If you watch for sales, you should be able to find a larger cage for a reasonable price. My GCC has a 37 x 31 x 20 cage that I got for about $100 US on Amazon.

Thanks, anaximander. the footprint is 25 x 20, I would consider 20 x 20 as a little too small also.
I wouldn't mind getting another cage but I haven't seen anything this large under the $300. range.
I've probably lost this bird by now, anyway.
