Recently the eldest of my two budgies got cut on his chest, he has been cared for, and everything looks alright physically.
BUT, I have been keeping him in a smaller cage since the incident, I worry that his wound will reopen if I let him stay with his cagemate. It's been three days and they both miss each other dearly, so I must ask, when would it be in his best interest to move him back to the flight cage? How long do cuts usually take to heal in budgies?
This is the first time I've been in a situation like this and it's a nerve wracking mess. Thank you for your time, and answers would be greatly appreciated.
