How long does a cockatiel live?does it matter by gender.

Well you can usually find this out very easy with google but its about 20-30 years when properly cared for.

Like it was mentioned above if kept well, in captivity they live a lot longer then their cousins that lives out in the wild.

I tried looking on google but all the sites had different ages some said15while others said 40

I used to know a lady that had hers since he was a baby and she had him for over 25 years.

The avarage life span of a tiel is 15 to 20 years but with the right care they can live upto 30 plus years my grandad use to have a tiel that lived 35 year this was before i was born he died a few days before i turned one.
