How long will it last??!!

That would depend on what other foods you are feeding along with it and how much of those foods you are feeding. I personally do not think that a pellet should be the only food source for your bird.

I feed fresh fruit and veggies, cooked mash, some of my dinner, pellets, nuts, sprouts, and even some seed. Not all at once or in that order. I try and change it up daily. they have access to pellets and water 24/7.

Because I feed so much of other things pellets last my guys a long time.

Im sure others will be able to help you out with different diets and how to feed.

Good luck!

The blend you're asking about is for medium hookbills and would be too large for a GCC.

A Conure would only need like 2-3 teaspoons a day

mamafuzz i read reviews and people give it tyo their green cheeks and african grays and all types!

My GCC eats PARROT SIZE pellets; not conure size. She can chew them up just fine. I would not go any smaller. I want my GCC to use and exercise her beak like in the wild. I am worrying that if she doesn't use her beak to chew enough, it will get overgrown. Conures in the wild chew a lot: from tree bark to hard-shell nuts.

If you only have one gcc,it should last you for more then 2 months.
Again depending what you give next to it.
I have 4 and with a 5lb harrisons i last about 2 months.

It definately shouldn't be the only food, so it should last a while. Freezing helps also. GCC's also need alot of fresh veggies, greens, and fruit every day. (Among other things)

ok. also what foods do you feed your GCC and how do you serve them?

A lot serve chop mix. It is this mashed up / finely chopped combination of bird-safe veggies, fruits, nuts, grains. What I do is make a batch that lasts a month (or more), ration it in small ziplock bags, and then freeze. I take a bag and defrost in the refrigerator every 2 days.

I also serve fresh chopped fruits and veggies everyday along with the chop mix. I serve this in a bowl or kabob. You can also put a small amount of seeds and nuts in foraging toys (or make your own) so that your bird can work for it. It is healthy for them to forage and try to 'look for their own food.' There are lots more to add to their diet to round it up. I suggest going to the food section in this forum or google parrot safe food list :) Good luck!
