I'm moving into my new condo soon which has a screened in balcony. The screen is in really bad shape and must be replaced ASAP.

I have to buy new screen... I know many screens are galvanized... so I just have to make sure it is NOT galvanized and NOT treated with any anti-mosquito/bug repellent and then it should be safe?

My tiels will not be allowed to roam free in the balcony... but I know they will end up landing in the screen here and there (especially 'Nut since he's wacko... goes all over the place!) as I will have them outside often on the balcony... want to make sure the screen is not toxic to them

I know they make stainless steel mesh and wire and screens... that should be best, right?

Very common in Florida, the screens are plastic and all they coat them with is coconut oil. So you should be OK

I noticed most of the screens they sell at Home Depot are galvanized though... I will have to go back to Home Depot and look at their available screens again. HOA where my condo is said it must match the existing screen exactly or they will complain... so the screen must be a basic black colored screen...

Hers is a pic of the balcony... the condo needs a LOT of work and renovating! ... but this will be 'Nut's big balcony once fixed up...and Rascal's too of course :D

PS: I don't know if the stainless steel mesh and wire ones GaleriaGila mentions will match the rest of the screens in the condo area?

That is going to be really sweet!

There are a lot of wild birds flying back and forth between the trees... 'Nut is gonna LOVE it! :D ... and of course Rascal will just be chillin like a villain haha

I REALLY want to build an aviary to put on this balcony... thankfully the black screen does a pretty good job at hiding things... so hopefully I won't get in trouble with HOA!
