Penelope & Clementine (Peach-faced Lovebirds); RIP Dewey (Budgie)
Hey y'all!

I live in Texas with my two Peach-faced Lovebird sisters. They just turned 3 y/o and have only been apart for about two weeks. I originally bought Penelope at 8 weeks old and thought it would be best to keep her as an only bird. After thinking about it for a couple weeks, I decided to see if her sister was still available. Lucky for me, she was! So I brought home Clementine and they instantly flocked to each other. <-- See what I did there. Lol! They've been inseparable ever since.

I'm pleased to say they are still very sweet with me, and although they aren't necessarily cuddly, they do show affection in other ways by giving me kisses and making sweet chirps when I'm with them.

Penelope and Clementine are not my first birds, however. I was owned by a CAG for many years and a Lovebird who was a neurotic lil' mess but for some reason, adored me. And I adored him. They both stayed with a friend of mine when I was deployed overseas. When I got home, they were both so bonded to their people that I couldn't, in good conscience, take them away.

I waited several more years until I was in the position to bring another bird into my life and keep them permanently, and that's when I chose these girls. They are so fun!
