I recently got two lovebirds and one is a fischers black masked. Iā€™ve been told by people that she will have health problems and die young. Iā€™m devastated. I did not know a hybrid was a problem and she is the sweetest. Hoping for some comfortā€¦.

I'm not a lovebird expert but I think everything should be ok. Sure, hybrids have health problems but Fisher's x masked lovies live even in the wild - they are really close related and a general hybrid rule is that less related parents= more health problems

The "high risk" hybrids is usulaly hybrids between the genuses, not just species. Closely related species will most likely be okay without any issues. I'm sure your lovebird will be more than fine, no need to worry so much! :)
