First off I want to say, sorry I haven't been posting as much as normal, been super crazy busy with all the birds, I am still on daily reading posts, I just haven't had a whole lot of time to respond back
I just had to tell you guys this quick story!
So a friend of ours stopped over tonight and my SO wanted to show him the babies. He asked me if it was okay to take him back and I said yea, just be quiet because there are mommas with babies and eggs. They go back to the breeder room/ nursery and I hear a blood curdling, "HUN! GET BACK HERE NOW!! COME QUICK!" Of course I jump out of my chair faster than if I'd been hit with a cattle prod, tear through the house and run back to the bird room. He then says, "one of the baby crimson bellies is on her back!" I looked in the brooder and I swear I thought for sure she was dead. I reached in as fast as I could, scooped her up and flipped her back onto her belly. She suddenly shook her head, slowly opened her eyes and just gave me this look like, "what?". I held her for a few minutes and she seemed absolutely fine, albeit a bit sleepy. I called the breeder I got her from, who was on her way to my house to drop off more babies. I frantically asked, "do baby conures sometimes sleep on their backs?!" She started laughing and said, "I guess I should have warned you about that, huh?" :20: I'm glad that she's okay, but man, did she have me scared! We've only had them like 2 days and this is my first time raising conures so i just couldn't believe it when I saw her laying there like that. I swear, these birds are gonna kill me one way or another
