introduce Odin!

"He" is 7 years old. We got him from a family, who had small kids (newborn, 3 and 5 I think) and the kids were able to hold him. They got him as a true rescue, an elderly lady had an aviary, Odin was born there, when they found them there were dead birds and 5 live ones. He talks and whistles, we've only heard him whistle so far. He stepped up out of his carrier and into his cage very nicely. So we'll let him sleep and then see if he wants to come out tomorrow.

He came with his cage, toys, a play tree and food (pellets and a whole bag of frozen mash)

They did, he was out of his cage pretty much all the time there.

Sounds like hes a character too. He got one of the neighbors in trouble with another neighbor. The one neighbor thought the other neighbor kept whistling at her and it was Odin doing his wolf whistle

Gorgeous bird. Please be aware he has his flight feathers, and you must be extra vigilant to keep him inside. There must be more Greys lost than any other.

Yup, definitely going to be very careful with him... she said he doesn't fly much but still only takes one time. Once he's settled and trusts me I'd like to introduce a harness so I can take him outside.

He came with half a bag of Zupreem Natural but they said he prefers the Zupreem Nutblend Flavor.Are these decent pellets? Is one better than the other or is a different brand better. We order most of our pet food online anyway so availability isn't an issue.

Had an amazing first day with Odin. He came right out of his cage when I opened it. He whistled to us and said youhoo whenever we left the room. After a couple hours he flew over to the couch to visit with us (and we didn't have food) . He rode around on my shoulder a few times during the day, he hung out on my lap for a half hour, I was able to give him scritches and pet down his back. He's just plain fun to have around, the best thing so far is he meows, its so cute!
